Paul Heaton brings a unique combination of experience to his role as a Principal with eAdvancement. He has held lead communications and marketing roles for a four-year private university, a four-year public university, a community college, and a large non-profit arts and education organization.
In addition, he was the inaugural Director of the CASE Center for Community College Advancement, a role he held for five years before being promoted to Director of the President’s Office, and then to Senior Director for Member Engagement at CASE, where he worked with advancement shops of all shapes and sizes throughout the world.
Paul champions underdogs – people, programs and institutions that do more with less. He knows the needs and, more important, the assets of non-profit organizations, and advocates passionately for them.
Paul conceived and edited “Opportunity Knocking: How Community College Presidents Can Lead a New Era of Advancement,” and has co-authored two institutional anniversary books. He has led rebranding efforts, oversaw organizational website overhauls, planned presidential transitions, and served as a trusted advisor and communications expert for several CEOs.
