Lisa is a seasoned professional with 24 years of executive experience in the role of Chief Financial Officer (8 years) and Chief Executive Officer (16 years) at Clark College Foundation in Vancouver, WA. She is excited to share her experience with the higher education and nonprofit community by joining eAdvancement in January 2023. Through her tenure, the Clark College Foundation amassed tremendous success, including assisting the college in securing two satellite campuses, building a new early learning facility, overhauling a dental hygiene clinic, and renovating a culinary arts/baking program into a culinary institute with state of the art facility and academic programming. All of these enhancements were made possible through philanthropic support and partnerships.
In addition to the capital funding raised, Lisa led two comprehensive campaigns that succeeded in raising millions of dollars for student scholarships, faculty development, and curriculum. Between the two campaigns, the foundation secured over $58M in resources for the benefit of Clark College.
Lisa’s extensive experience made Clark College Foundation one of the country’s top community college foundations. Accolades achieved recognition from Council for Advancement in Support of Education (CASE) for excellence in fundraising in 2010, 2012, and 2015. Personal recognitions received by Lisa include the 2017 CASE VIII Distinguished Service Award and the 2018 CASE CommonFund Institutionally Related Foundation Award. In addition, the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce recognized Lisa with the 2022 Iris Award honoring exceptional local women of achievement in Southwest Washington.
Outside of her experience in nonprofit management and higher education fundraising, Lisa capitalizes on her previous work experience in auditing, commercial banking, and hospitality management. Through a holistic lens, Lisa can build unique community relationships that are beneficial and visionary. Lisa currently lends her skills through her ongoing association with CASE, Vancouver Rotary, Rotary International, and the Estate Planning Council of Southwest Washington.
Lisa prides herself in strategically positioning organizations like the foundation to capitalize on community support and creative partnerships. For example, she worked to obtain alignment between the college and the foundation to achieve campaign success in areas the college would not have otherwise been able to pursue. In addition, she built a team of professionals who rallied to the cause through mutual respect and tenacity. Her years of experience make her an outstanding executive in strategic positioning and foundation operations. She looks forward to sharing this experience with others to enhance communities to their potential.
