Prior to entering consulting, eA Principal, Susan Kubik served as Executive Director of the Northampton Community College Foundation and Vice President for Institutional Advancement for the College, located in Bethlehem, PA. Sue spent a 37-year professional career at Northampton where she built the advancement program from a one-person shop to a department of more than 30 professionals encompassing development, community relations, marketing and publications, alumni affairs, special events, grants, and communications. The College has earned a national reputation in advancement, regularly receiving recognition for its marketing, publications and communications efforts, including the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education’s Circle of Excellence Award for educational fundraising on four occasions. The College Foundation’s endowment was started under her leadership and now has an estimated value including all assets of about $80 million. During her tenure, the Foundation transferred more than $60 million to the College.
Sue is a past chair of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She has lectured and published articles on alumni support and fundraising and has been recognized with professional awards including the 2012 Lifetime Service Award from CASE District II, the 2008 CASE/Commonfund Award for Institutional Related Foundation Executives; the National Society of Fundraising Executives, Eastern Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Fund Raising Executive Award; 2012 Take the Lead Award from the Eastern Pennsylvania Girl Scouts; the CASE District II 2001 Professional of the Year Award, and the 2002 Frank L. Ashmore Award for service to CASE and the advancement profession. In July of 2013, she received the E. Burr Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award from CASE, the organization’s highest honor. She holds bachelors and masters degrees in journalism and communications from Point Park and Temple Universities. Sue has been named CASE Laureate.
Within the consortium, Sue provides guidance across the advancement disciplines with a special interest in assisting advancement operations with limited resources rooted deeply within the communities the college or university serves.
